Predata and CME DataMine: Innovations in Data and Delivery

By: Hazem Dawani, CEO of Predata

It’s been an exciting start to 2020 for us here at Predata. Our predictive analytics have been recognized for successfully preparing customers for several recent geopolitical events including last September’s attacks on Saudi oil facilities, Iran’s retaliation against the United States for killing Iranian general Qasem Soleimani, and the recent market sell-off due to coronavirus fears.

To add another exciting development to that list, Predata was selected by CME Group, the largest futures exchange in the world, to provide eight signal suites for commodities and fixed income to their data platform. As of today, Predata is live on the CME DataMine platform.

DataMine is a self-service platform that provides users easy access to historical market data as well as alternative data, available for download in flexible formats to suit various trading strategies. CME Group has a team of experts who identify innovative products and deliver them to their customers, and over the past year, we’ve worked closely with those experts to structure a compelling offering for CME traders.

The result is an offering that consists of eight signal suites from our wide range of AI-generated predictive analytics offerings, with each suite designed to complement one of the following asset classes within CME: Oil, Natural Gas, Precious Metals, Base Metals, Grains, Livestock, Eurodollar, and Treasuries.

These signals uncover predictive behavior in online attention, allowing users to globally monitor geopolitical risk factors for these major commodities and fixed income products, detect early indications of supply concerns, and perform cross-national analysis of emerging trends. Through DataMine, CME customers can purchase the Predata signal suite that directly applies to their trading asset classes. Additionally, customers can leverage their existing relationship, contract, and technological infrastructure with CME to access the data.

These signals will empower CME customers to maximize their insights in their selected markets — in the words of Trey Berre, Global Head of Data Services at CME Group, “We are always looking for new ways to help our customers make the most informed trading decisions and we are pleased to add Predata’s predictive analytics to the expansive collection of historical and alternative datasets available through CME DataMine.”

We’re thrilled to partner with the worldwide leader in commodities, and we’re looking forward to seeing how our signals enhance trading for CME Group customers. For more information about DataMine, please visit CME DataMine. To learn more about Predata solutions and use cases, contact us here.
